Well, just got home from the last show of the Dallas stand. Had called to see if Janice was in town with them and she wasn't. Anyway Sacha Houcke's mixed acts were not too bad? The last Zebra kept jumping in and out of the ring, don't know if it was part of the act, but the Zebra made it look so! He had four elephants and four Norwegian Fjords work together also. Both acts were basicially the same routines? Taba's Tiger Act was slow but clean tricks. Only one elephant blanket for the whole show and that was at the opening with the Salute to the Flag. I 'd give it a 7 on at score from 1-10. Bello is Bello, so there was too much dead time for some of his gags!
Circus Aeros was founded in the early 40s by Cliff Aeros, then in 1951 took by the DDR State Circus. Cliff Aeros was a famous daredevil artist in the '20s, with various aerial stunts with bycicles etc. He was if nont the originator one of the very first to present the moder concept of cannonball man around 1920. Many says that Hugo Zacchini saw first the act from him at the time.

Lots-a fine looking entertainment in this Circus to a packed house.
Many fond memories of Burma and Mills Bros. My uncle was Bill Maack, route man and my friends were Rita Sagraves and her daughter, Una Jean.
Have many memories and pictures,

There is a Cliff Aeros cannon in the collection at the Circus World Museum in Baraboo.
Regarding the Cliff Aeros cannon at Circus World Museum, my notes say.
The cannon was built by German acrobat Cliff Aeros and was first used on the Sells-Floto Circus in 1929.
It was employed throughtout the 1930's by Frank "Fearless" Gregg and in later years by Buster Gordon.
After Sells-Floto, the cannon was used on Robbins Bros. Circus, then on Curtis-Gregg Circus (1934 - owned by Dennis Curtis and Cliff Gregg).
