Morning, Buckles. Do you know if the lion was just a display animal? Was there only the one big cat? Was there an act?

I'm sure this was only a display animal. Ned has an inventory of the animals under Zellmar Bros. #1.

Hi Buckles,

Sad news. A friend called and said that a former flyer named John Wray passed this weekend. He was around 65 years old.

I understand John was injured in his younger days and worked as a clown (rodeo?) most of his life. He was living in Highland Park, CA.

It appears that the barge is attached to an overhead wire to guide it on it's trip from shore to shore.

It is similar to the car ferry that runs from Lodi to Merrimac, Wisc. The ferry is attached to an under water cable.

checking the news paper articals that I have and notes it does not mention anything of a cat act other than being displayed in a pagent and the zoo but does mention preforming pigs chickens and ducks
