Barnum & Bailey's Parade #3

This picture taken in Peoria, Sept. 5, 1891 at what looks to be the Fairgrounds.
This beautiful vehicle is acually a musical instrument, "The Melechoir" organ wagon.

This looks a lot like Orchestmelochor wagon # 98, at C.W.-- the corner statues threw me --- foot boards, small carvings ,etc --- my filing system is getting scarier and scarier--when in doubt , as now, I simply go to "Horse drawn wagon collection" by Chappie -- we always carried at least one of these on the parade grounds to show teamsters, riders, and whoever what the wagon they were trying to find looked like -- I believe it's the same wagon !

It is one and the same as that at CWM, at least I think it is still there. In its present configuration it is missing some of the ornamentation that shows in the old picture.
