I believe Felix Adler lived in one of those when down in Sarasota. I've read that he and Amelia lived primarily in a hotel in NYC.
There were several of these old coaches. One I remember was set up as a shower/bathroom for those trailers that have these. Other coaches were made up with two or three apartments. I remember Billy McCabe and Kenny Dodd had rented one in the winter of 62/63 and they were quite nice inside.
I think I was told that Art Concello had them moved from winterquarters after RBBB bought the hospital cars from the Army..I believe these were old world war one hospital cars but could be wrong. The trailer park Circus City is still operating but I think it has been sold but this could be a rumor. It is a very desirable piece of real estate here and am sure it won;t be around for lomg.

Cookhouse was good under John Staley on the '64 Beatty show. When he left, Billy McCabe departed Clown Alley and took over. Rumors had it Staley wanted more budgeting and the show disagreed. I doubt it was Billy's fault, but Cookhouse nearly starved us to death. The performers made out OK, but we workingmen got very scant pickings. Two jars of peanut butter and two loaves of bread didn't last, and if you were late you didn't eat. Other meals were an 8-oz ladle of ravioli--period. Thank God I was Mr. Beatty's driver, and he sprung for the ravenous cagehands at diners every night.
