Speaking of Zebra's(well sort of),Do you have any photgraphs of
of the now totally extinct relative of the Zebra's, The Quagga, with any of the menageries
in America?
Frank Bostck had one, with his show around 1900.
Im not sure what became of it.
Most likely its hide and skeleton were sent to amuseum.
As near as I can tell, the first zebra hitch team at least here in America was intoduced during the Bostock-Ferari animal show at the 1901 Pan-American expo in Buffalo New York.
The troup was trained by French trainer Capt. Candoz.
Reportly it also had the Quagga in the team(i wonder if it was a real Quagga?)It was said to have been born in the Bostock animal farm in
New Jersey,"a cross between a Donkey and a Zebra".(?)
