From Buckles Collection #3

I'll toss this one in, since I know the people, worked with their act many times and I'm sure a lot of you remember them as well. This picture taken by Circus Fan, Don Smith on the Cristiani Bros. Circus lot in 1960.
I'm typing this as fast as I can for fear that Mr. Lee will have the answer on the Blog before I get it entered.

Mr. Lee, I have two. Cholla an 11 year old female and Shilo a ten year old male. Shilo is like "AMY" Buckles African. He would follow me to hell if I ask him to. Cholla could care less. I kept them in full coat until last year. They now sport puppy cuts. I am a professional groomer here at my kennel. I groom our assistant fire chiefs three Malteeses and he keeps my grounds groomed.THey are beautiful pets , but a lot of work. They are not for everyone.

To Bill Strong. Sorry but the photo of Ringling wasn't taken in the 50's. Galla Shawn did not nwork for nRBBB until they went indoors. Teh photo was taken some time i nthe early 40's as can be told by the rigging which is seen in the lower part of the photo. It was used in Finalw with show girls climbing up ladders and droppingpart of their war4droe to reveal a large American flag.

Clownron. I had one Chinese Crested. She had the tuff on her head and hair on her legs. I think she was called a power puff Crested. Her name was Wessie. She died of cancer 12 years ago. I sent Buckles a picture of my Bull Mastiff with my toy poodle. It seems like a few circus persons get into the dog business after retiring. Its a lot of work but very gratifing to an animal person who can't keep elephant in their yard.

Tho Bill supplied the picture, I added the comment.
I was juding from the flying act frame in the center like Fay Alexander used in the Garden in the 1950's, the little canvas bathing house the flyers would jump out of dressed in old fashioned swim suits and the platform above that, I recall a lady jumping from in the darkness with bungee chords.

Unfortunately my comments are not "The word as handed from God unto Moses" and if you are certain I will stand corected.
