That gate actually saved my sorry little ass back when we did that parade throught Venice. I had a two horse draft hitch with Jewell, gimpy legged in the back with a young lion in his lap. The old dry rotten traces, I dug out of storage broke and they ran on me! I had to jump between them, ( just like the old westerns) to stop them! This closed gate and Dick Browns Gestopo helped me stop them before we surely would have smashed into something outside of the grounds!
