Quick Fix!

Bill Powell made an attempt to send me some pictures from his mother, Gee Gee's collection but all I got were the accompanying messages. I fear that he attempted to use a Company Computer from which of course, all classified information is deleted. So I quickly dug into the Big Apple files to come up with this mornings folly.

On that subject a friend called me last night during intermission of the Red Show and was laughing so hard I couldn't understand him at first but it seems he had just heard the "Folks you ain't seen nothin' yet" announcement which he couldn't have agreed with more. He added that he asked someone on the show what this year's theme was and was told it was "Balls".
Who could have forseen a year ago that this would wind up being the good show?

Who would have ever thought you could have re-cycled your ole Military Uniform after all this time ? And " It still fits "

I don't remember the name of the lady that did the wardrobe but invariably when it came time for the show to open it was only half completed. So she would show up with an army of people, which the show had to put in hotels, and they would be sewing right up until you entered the ring.
In this particular instance she didn't make anything for me at all so Cheryl Jones went down to a local costume shop in Washington and came up with this Foreign Legion outfit (the medals said things like DOG CATCHER or VOTE FOR CALVIN COOLEDGE).
When we entered the ring at dress rehearsal the woman began screaming and throwing things at me. We finally decided on the whites shown in the following pictures.
In conclusion I ultimately decided that after dealing with theatrical types, saner people have been jailed.

My first thought was the elephant guy's costume was inspired by the "Evil Klaus" in G.S.O.E. Wasn't he wearing a Legionaire outfit as he had Minyak's foot over the fair damzool?

Happened to be driving along and caught a carnival set up on a Mall parking lot, Smithaven Mall Long Island. This is the lot the Cole Bros. show has played for a number of years.
Checjing it out I saw a notorcycle globe of death in the background.
Further investigation brought me to a Free Circus. The Victoria Circus. We attended the last performance of the evening. The show is owned and operated by Walter and Victoria Murcia. A great little operation. Check out their web site for routing. www.victoriacircus.com
They present a wide variety of acts.

No disrespect Mr. Peers, you are a very funny guy, but I thought Peggy O'Neil. (I believe that was her name), was a great addition to the act, and I miss her presence.

There were quite a few showfolks there last night as they are day & dating the Shrine. I dare say more than one person made that same comment. Fortunately the 2nd half was a little stronger.cc

No costume looks as bad to a costume maker as one they didn't make.

Buckles, Did you ever work with any of Barbara's sisters. How many stayed in show business? Hope is the only one I remember. Did anyone one of them follow in Mrs Rays footsteps? Last names change so it is hard to remember who went in what direction.

When Barbara and I were married only Hope remained in the business but she has long sense retired along with the other three. She, Peggy and Lottie live here in Florida but unfortunately Billie passed away recently.
