These long gowns look detachable. Perhapes they are worn just for the photo shoot. The lady in front of this elephant has trousers on. The legs are used for most of the poses in an act. What would the point be of covering the legs up? Looks like spec wardrobe to me. Or then again maybe the females did not do all the beautiful poses that were done in our time.
looks like a composite photo to me not the folks on the floor just the girl on top...L.S.
Something about this picture does not ring true. Either the size of the elephant or the performers do not match. The more I look at it the more I agree with anonymous.
