Milwaukee - what year? I can't remember if this was the Schlitz Old Milwaukee Days Parade or the resurrection that Ben Barkin (Great Circus Parade) brought back a few years later after two years in Chicago. Paul Ingrassia will remember.

Went to visit Ben on Big Apple in Prospect Park while playing the Garden in 1982. I think it was Nirvana that tried me out for a taste while talking with Ben. He had her staked out and I beleive set me up. Hehehe, then cooked up a nice steak on the grill for us.

When did your cats all pass away? I remember you had Nirvana first and was wondering what happened to her tail? Thank you, Annie

Nirvana was the best of the lot and died in Baraboo but I don't remember the year.
When we were at the Ringling Park they brought us one of the former cages carried when the show was under canvas. It was divided into two dens so Nirvana had it all to herself until Barbara bought this young black leopard so each one had it's own den.
The new cat seemed agreeable enough but one day he reached thru the bars and got Nirvana by the tail. Needless to say thewre was Hell to pay.
Barbara always liked to use Odin for things like the picture above since he made such a nice appearance.

Thank you! Was the black panther's name "Diablo" by any chance? I remember him. I have a picture of him in that big ole (under canvas) cage before he shared with Nirvana. Did Venus and Odin pass away in Baraboo too? I remember in 1985 that Ben told me that Nirvana had died, but Odin was the fill in leopard for the act at that time. Nirvana was truly one of a kind! Each of the three of them were very beautiful and special! We were so lucky to be able to see them. Thank you, Annie
