Little Bobby Cline


When we were at the Ringling Park, Hoxie Bros. Circus was playing nearby and Ted and Gary decided to run over to the lot early one morning.
This collectors item shows Ted, Bobby, Gary and Leo Antwhistle. For some reason Bobby was laying out the lot.
Bobby is not to be confused with "Dirty Neck" Robert Cline who was with Logan for many years with both Kelly-Miller and the Beatty Show nor our friend Bob Cline from Cheraw, SC.

Thanks for taking time to do this wonderful blog, it is a delight!
We worked with Leo on the Hoxie show in '78 & '79. Does anyone know what became of him?

Hi Jim,
I havn't heard anything of Leo in years.
Tell Don that the rumor in Sarasota is that Sashay Houck will leave the Red Show in the Fall. Without his stock rings will no longer be required.
This may open the door for a re-hash of "Bello and Friends".

Leo Entwhistle died on the Hoxie show in August of 81 or 82, cause of death was Tuberculosis, Hazel from the Hoxie herd died from T.B. a few years prior too that.
If I remember right,little Bobby Cline contracted gang green, had a leg amputated and died shortly after,about 1979-80

little bobby was always a character, by was a great night man for the herd. Managed to get around all the elephants.
