Barnum & Bailey's Greatest Show on Earth #1


Shannon tells me that March was the biggest month yet for the Blog's growth. I think on Sundays' I will run back items so some of the newcomers can catch up.
Loading up for the trans-Atlantic voyage and the 5 year grand European tour (1898-02).

?? Did they have to put new wheel carriages on for the European tracks?

I'm sure they did since no two countries in Europe had the same gague tracks at the time.

Are there any photo's of Jumbo's Palace Car?
I heard it rotted down in Brideport.
It was customed made by the Pennsylvania Railroad company to transport Jumbo back in the 1880's.
