To Boots

This is the Circus Williams elephant herd in Germany (including "Mary") before they came to the Ringling Show in 1969. Several times over the years I tried to get the background on these elephants from Gunther but he was not one to dwell on the past and was always rather vague. I recall her as a good looking elephant with a big square head and would on occasion scrap with other elephants if provoked. I never had any dealings with her myself.
