Plunkett Family Show #5

This picture shows how unique a Rep Show tent was. The front part was a standard circus top but the back end was usually squared off to allow for the stage and back stage area. I have heard that much of their equipment came from shows like Tol Teeter and Harley-Sadler.

Are those white tarps covering the trailers? Was this to keep the trailers cooler? They got awful hot out with no shade

Well I can see now the Rep. Shows are Not always in a rectangular tent.

Very interesting photos. I missed the rep show but have always been interested in this branch of outdoor show biz. I'd known the tops were square end, but didn't know about one end being square.
If you can find it, the autobiography of rep showman Neil Shafner (Toby and me) is a fascinating read.
