Karen sent me this picture taken I believe when she still worked as a secretary for the Construction Company that built the Ringling Park.
Looks like we arrived just in the nick of time to wrest her from a life of Christian domesticity.

The Circus ruined a couple of us young ladies. DO IT AGAIN What excitment. Who else has the memories of the travel, meeting new and weird people. The danger was never a second thought. Until now when we think back. We could have been killed. But what a way to go. For two townies we sure had a ball did we not High Beams?

Karen, I remembered something. Your outfit in this picture is gross. The first time I saw you in Denver Colorado you were naked except for net stocking!!!!! It was in the dressing room and you guys were changing costumes. Not that is a weird thing to remember, but it just came to mind. I thought nothing of it as performers almost always shared dressing rooms. Seeing this picture of you all covered up sparked that memory.

Just compare the two photos. Now what a difference an elephant makes when you work with them. You are gorgeous. Circus agreed with you Karen. You could have been the STAR. Bright, shiny and new.
