I also have a black and tan Peke. Her name is Duchess and she is 12 years old. It amazes me that once owners get grandchildren the family pet gets a one way trip away. Usually it is here to me. Wish they would think to provide food at least. These people spout what animal lovers they are. Give me a break! They never look back or even ask about the pet.
