Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. Great shot! Hay Roger, He is cuter then us.What a Babe, [the elephant] I am trying to get a photo to Buckles. My friend has a scanner. She is a nurse in the phyic ward at the hospital and works three 12 hour shifts. Hard to get tracked down. Plus her boy friend has to show her how to run it. He bought it for her for xmas. As he is the principle of the high school, he is hard to track down.

What a honor! My photo on Buckles' Blog. In the interest of full disclosure, the photo is at a time when my glasses and hair were thicker and darker. When I see some of my current photos I feel like that famous trainer who saw his current photo in CR and asked, "what the hell happened?"
The elephant was Carolyn who was a terrific animal. Our claim to fame was an appearance in Kismet at the Muny Opera in 1969. She went on to work in the Zoo's elephant show with Donn Gibson. She died four years ago, a real sweetheart and special animal in my life.

Now we're awaiting the Rebecca photo, with or without some of that Roland Butler-like darkroom magic.

I still recall Buckles critique when he saw Carolyn work. "She works great and you don't have to touch her but why do you carry that Harpoon? Can't they get you something smaller and less threatening?" They did.
