Mary Ruth Herriott was at the Club last night and looked terrific. In fact she is very active having attended the Ken & Nicole Show's opening and may have even gone to the Home Town unit today in nearby Lakeland. I am very proud of her.
In the Blackaman article, the cat act with Gil Gray was a former Alfred Court act purchased from the Ringling Show for a song.
Jimmy Hall visited Smokey Jones grave site in Commerce, Tx. and took a picture which I will send out as soon as I get a copy. I wonder if it says "Sent for the laundry".
And finally, I have a large group of Circus Band pictures most of which I sent copies to Don Covington well over a year ago. Quite a few have since appeared in the Windjammers publications and a few so rare they were included in a book. Anyone interested in seeing what a real circus band looked like let me know. |
