Gary Hill has been sending me pictures from his collection among which are Blue Show publicity photos most I already have but I marvelled at this one since it reminded me that this wardrobe was for the Neptune Spec only and even the kids had several changes of wardrobe in the show and look at the quality as compared with today. Then it suddenly occurred to me that several of these kids are gone already, the young boy standing next to Shannon at left, Julio Ferias, died after bouncing out of the flying act net during a practice session a few years after we left the show and fourth from left is lovely Desi Espana who we lost last year with the Home Town Show. Very sad. The two girls at right are Dalilah and Pinky Williams.

Buckles, where was Shane when this picture of all the kids was taken? Was it after we left the show at the end of 1978? Thanks, Karen
I asked the same question. I thought it might have been 1979, but dad pointed out that Pinky wasn't there in '79.
That's our Spec costumes we have on. And if I remember both Shane & I rode the Africans around the track and the rest of the kids were on the Pirate ship.
One of my fondest memories was when we played Anaheim, across the street from Disneyland. Somehow our show would sync up perfectly so we could all watch the fireworks across the street, then scurry to our positions for Spec.
By the way….What is Shane up to these days?
Hi, Avid Readers!
In my honest opinion the 1978-79 Season of RBB&B's Blue Unit marked one of the highest points in the show's history. As far as the Spec (King Neptune's Underwater Circus) and Menege (I called it the Arabian Nights Fantasy), I cannot recall any other edition topping the quality and beauty of the costumes designed by our own late, great Don Foote! He knew how to dress talent in costumes that really WOW-ed and impressed the show's audiences..and US!! Whaaa happened NOW????

My questions were answered before my comments. I did not read the other comments before I posted. I cry looking at some of these pictures too Karen. Also wet my pants from laughing at some of the funny things that happened. God what a life!
Buckles whatever become of Pinky Williams Bale? Gary
I havn't seen Pinky (Caroline) since the days these pictures were taken.
She remains in the business tho as a featured equestrian with Horse Shows that tour the country.
Maybe some of our viewers could be more specific.
