Bert Nelson


Terrell Jacobs gave this picture to my dad which contains this charming signature:
"To Terrell and Dolly,
In rememberance of a very happy season together. You're swell and many thanks. I won't forget it, best always from your friend. Bert Nelson
PS The picture is "phoney" but the sentiments are not. BN"

In 1972 we were in California with Cliff Vargas (Miller-Johnson Circus)when Parley Baer introduced me to Mr. Nelson. We had a terrific afternoon visiting and I recall him as a "class act".

Was this Nelson part of the Nelson family out of Mt. Clemmons, Michigan? My grandmother new the family and when I joined out she always wanted me to look them up.
