Big Apple Circus 1985


Yesterday's "Jupiters Darling" brought these pictures to mind. I have never even seen a movie set but with Big Apple a number of directors would visit regularly. This is Louis Malle.

I'm not alone in noticing when Barbara is photographed with other celebrities, her image stands out beyond theirs. Candice Bergen is the sister to stars of another era--Charlie McCarthy, Mortimer Snerd, and Effie Klinker. On a serious note, when her husband, Louis Malle, died of lymphoma, in 1995, she devoted herself to enhancing research against the disease.
