Von Bros. Circus 1965/ Elephants

This is Junior Clark who had worked these elephants "Dolly", "Blanche" and "Jewel" when they were on Hunt Bros. Circus. At this time he was at the Providence Zoo but would come by on occasion to touch them up. Jimmy said that "Jewel" had taken a shot at Henry Vonderheid and that once when he saw the show they only worked two. I have a book by Gusta Cruse on elephant training and in a master stroke of under statement he writes "On occasion an elephant might fetch you a cheeky whollop".
