This stage and set piece must have been not only heavy, but crowded for space--they left one "L" out of Terrell.
Just remembered--Jungleland's great mentor and Guardian Angel of fledgling cat boys breaking in, Benny Bennett, told this story of the Jacobs set-up shown here. A big date was winding down, crowds dispersing, and Terrell ordered his show torn down and loaded out. Along came this townie and his wife who demanded to see the show. Terrell politely explained the date was ending, the public was going home, and everyone was dismantling the event. The couple came back with a cop, who noted closing time was yet to be, and officially ordered Terrell to set back up. The cop stayed while the Jacobs performance was re-set and shown in full to the two very smug locals. Whether they applauded was not recorded.
