I was 13 when my mother and I saw the Ringling Show in 1948 and these are the two acts that impressed me the most.

Anonymous said...: I saw Unus on Ringling in the early '60s. He was very much the star of the show. But one experience with him served to remind me of the fate awaiting all of us. He had been retired a season or two, and I saw him on the lot, just this close but so far from the announcement, the spotlight, and the brass band, eating a cold cut sandwich, sitting in the cab of a camper, all alone.; 04 September, 2005 02:33
