DeMille Movie


As to the dialogue regarding "Ruth" in the movie, how about this one?
"Minyak, is your foot getting tired?".

Some time back, I offered some bio on Mr. Bettger, who died at 88, in Atascadero, California, in '03. Miss Grahame, our "Angel", survived Klaus's menace and Minyak's foot, thanks to Brad and Arky, and won her Supporting Actress Oscar for another '52 film,the classic behind-the-scenes Hollywood tale, "The Bad and the Beautiful". She died at 59 of cancer and peritonitis in 1981, in New York City. My friend Tommy Napoli retired as first trumpet of the Beatty-Cole band, and became Angel's mailman. She often greeted him at her door. Understandably entranced, he said she was a living doll, who made him stutter.
