Wallace Bros. Circus 1941/ Lawrence Cross

I had seen Cross in Beatty's 1954 film, RING OF FEAR, and knew who he was. I was still re-learning to walk on crutches then, and the initially-grumpy Cross softened a little and visited briefly about the movie. Another outstanding performer took time to smile, show me the animals in his act, autograph a photo, and make a crippled kid's visit to Gil Gray Circus memorable. His name is Johnny Herriott. Roger
