The best remembered of lady aerialists, Lillian Leitzel who in 1930 fell to her death in Copenhagen.

Most photos of Leitzel were posed to conceal the overdevelopment of her right shoulder, the pivotal point in her record-setting planges. Being a small woman, her deltoid was noticeably out of proportion.
