We were on the Wallace Bros. Circus for seven years, in fact my first recollections of life come from this show. This picture of my father was taken the last season we were there 8/31/43 in Joplin, Mo. The title that year was Clyde Beatty-Wallace Bros. Circus. and Mr. Beatty was the show's feature. Up to this point my dad had been a Side Show ticket seller for the past six seasons but Mr. Beatty talked him to returning to the elephant business and in fact hired him the following Winter to work his three elephants on the Shrine indoor dates.
