To further complicate matters, the Ringling Show closed early in 1938 due to a Union strike and returned to Sarasota. After a brief time many of the Ringling features, part of it's big top and a lot of the department heads made the long run to South Dakota where they were merged with the Barnes show and finished out the season with the incredible title "Al G.
