This magnificent building is the original elephant house. It now serves as visitor's center. The two bronze statues are of Bessie, an Indian rhino who lived there from 1923 to 1962.

Richard, it now houses, a Komodo Lizard exhibit which I have not seen and don't plan to. It would make me sick to go into the iconic ELEPHANT HOUSE and see nothing but reptiles . . . sacrilege.
