This pattern of Ivory is that
of a Forest Elephant formally
known as Loxodonta Cyclotis
This a bull in the Congo. I believe he was loaned out to a farmer as part of the Belgian's domestication program. The straight down tusks are definitely those of a forest elephant (cyclotis). However the ears are not rounded like those of true forest elephants. And he is way too tall. Methinks he is a hybrid with the common bush elephant. Such did occur at the training station in Gangala Na bodio.
