Forget the axle nearly lost
the whole wheel (2 elephants)

99 as I remember it, albeit not always like this. Our water man then was Curry. In towns where the Blue Room could not open, Curry's sideline was to supply denizens of the backyard with single beers, which were not always cold. Hell, we didn't care, it was beer. And bless him, Curry also usually had Mickey's ready for us--2-ounce bottles of rotgut. At $2 each, a $14-a-week cagehand couldn't visit Curry often, but when I could, a Mickey certainly took the edge off.
1,100 gallons of water gets pretty heavy on a soft lot!
