I worked for Bob Commerford for several winter seasons doing promotions for his "Pet Expo", a combination of kids' fun fair and petting zoo. The show played major buildings in the Northeast. Major buildings. Bob's business acumen is the best kept secret in show business. Watching Bob do business is better than an MBA from Harvard!
Phone call from a friend who asked when I worked for Bob; it was in the mid-1980s. Seems like a few months ago; time goes too fast. I was visiting Johnny Herriott at the Orange County Fair in MIddletown, NY when I met Bob and the rest is history.

There was an attempt some
years back to demolish the
parachute jump ride tower
However the ground swell
created such a strong reply
that it became landmarked
It was painted & illuminated
with much decorative LEDs
& is a recognized symbol of
Coney Island but will never
return to original operation
Re: the two policemen in the background: somebody must have known something.
