Sad News!

Sorry to learn of Big Apple Circus folding.
I didn't think it would last long after Paul left.

It looks like 1938 and 1956 again.
What next.

Losing 2 prestigious shows

at nearly the same time is

very disturbing to all of us

I guess it's only shows like

"the greatest show that was"

as well as "circ do sowhat"

will carry on instead of the

grand traditional productions

So very sad indeed

Diane and I were devastated when you all left and now I am devastated yet again. The BAC was a big and very wonderful part of our lives for going on 35 years. I found it ironic that the last edition was called The Grand Tour. It was one of their very best. The last performance I saw was the evening show on June 9th in Queens with dear friends Maxine House (former BAC school teacher) and her hubby JP Cunningham. I took around 500 photos. Final performance was Sunday June 12th. SAD, OH SO VERY SAD.

PAUL: Is JP Cunningham the same who was our mailman and first trombone on the 1981 Beatty show? He was a great guy, and a known lifer.

Yes, another sadness. What are we to be left with, seeing tradition vanish...?

Quoting the last 2 lines from

"Bookends" by Simon & Garfunkel

"Preserve Your Memories"

"They're All That's Left You"

At least as long as we can

still remember Roger

We are keepers of the flame

Roger, I sincerely second the comments made by Don Covington of whom the same may be said.
JP is also a fantastic driver.
