Mike, This did come up on Pat Cashin's blog and as Buckles mentioned, Jackie LeClair said it was Homer Goddard. Homer is listed in the 1951 route book. Duane Thorpe in spec was the lead dancer carrying a staff with a bird on it in the South American section just in front of the FireFlies. Dom
Fred Logan once told me that while standing in line applying for his first job on the Ringling Show in 1943 he struck up a conversation with another young fellow looking for work. Logan wound up in the menagerie department and the other guy (Bob Dover) became a pony groom in Ringstock. Freddy said that one of his duties was to move props around during May Kovar's cat act.

Dom-
Can you identify the clown in the chair getting the haircut by Paul Jung?
Pat Cashin's blog had this same question a few weeks ago and I don't remember if the question was answered.
Some thought the customer to be Duane Thorpe.
I thought it might be my late cousin Myron Orton but when asked, Jackie LeClaire said it was Homer Goddard.
