MABEL STARK, December 9, 1888 - April 20, 1968
The inscription on the back, written in her own hand
reads: "My first big act - 12 tigers - Al. G. Barnes
Circus--November 1920."

Today is the Biggest Star in my lifes birthday too...my Son Garrett turned 23 today..:)

I saw Mable's act during her last years at Jungleland. I was in high school at the time and, in my mind she was the epitome of a circus star. I remember watching her minus a chair, a gun, the loud barking of orders and very little whip cracking. While I saw her many times after that, she always had that same signature "style" at the end of each trick. What an act!
