A photo of the deed in the local paper immortalized him. 40 years ago and still fond memories remain. I'm sure for you also.Dennishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02767163502338369146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8897242.post-49766274978120998092017-03-29T08:34:24.407-04:002017-03-29T08:34:24.407-04:00Yes, I worked Freddy and Sue in 1981, and Fred als...Yes, I worked Freddy and Sue in 1981, and Fred also worked in the regular cat act for a couple of years. Nice lion, a good boy, very pretty and no trouble at all.Patriciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11640605843329709012noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8897242.post-7376862339393248102017-03-28T19:37:01.849-04:002017-03-28T19:37:01.849-04:00Pat. When 'Freddy, the professional lion, as he was known, was on the highest seat ready to get on Suzy, it wasn't a matter of leaping over the arena top but more like a step over. Of course he had no desire to escape his soft life. Freddy literally worked 20 minutes a day unless there were 3 shows that day.Dennishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02767163502338369146noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8897242.post-5043680708324037582017-03-28T09:09:24.977-04:002017-03-28T09:09:24.977-04:00Now there's some props to move. Now there's some props to move.Bob Clinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06322660031390871141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8897242.post-31544987875318835842017-03-28T08:07:28.087-04:002017-03-28T08:07:28.087-04:00Years ago in Tennessee, there was an animal safety...Years ago in Tennessee, there was an animal safety inspector, I think his name was Walter Cook. Walter, to me, seemed like the Barney Fife of inspectors. He once put the cat act on hold until he could calculate the trajectory of a leaping tiger from the top of the mirror ball to the top of the arena. Um, ok Walter. This trick would have given him a heart attack.Patriciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11640605843329709012noreply@blogger.com
