#2 RB!

Most of these pictures are dated 1941 and I was told that so many men were being Drafted into the Service they had to eliminate most of the Baggage Stock and turned this job over to the Elephants!
Unfortunately it led to Walter McLain's Death when one of the wagons broke free while coming down the ramps!

These photos with captions are from TRUE VIEW film clips. There were four films on RBBB - -I once had all of them. All were shot in 1941 and 1942. You looked at them with a TRUE VIEW stereopticon viewer and they were in 3-D.

The decision to eliminate baggage stock was made in 1938. When Walter McClane became elephant boss for 1939, it was he who started using elephants to unload the train.
