 I was told that in years past, this was a common number in most Shows! In fact it's size might be determined by the animals included. Big Shows Elephants!.....Small Shows Horses and Ponies! Hence the Title "Dog And Pony Show?" |

the costume or the theme music
The show got away with it for
a year & a half before getting
caught & then being fined
The Rodos (Rodes) were well
known for doing major leaps
(& a great group of girls)
Last time I saw this done was on Carson and Barnes and that was probably 10+ years ago.
Saw the leaps many times on King-Cristiani featuring Tripoli somersaulting over four to five elephants. Others worked in the leaps including Red Dingler, who had a bar and trampoline act with the show. Later, saw the leaps on the large Cristiani Bros. Circus....Back in the day, drum rolls created a lot of excitement for this act.
