Taken at Hagenbeck-Wallace quarters, in Peru. Some of the 1933 film was shot there in the old barns, with the rest replicated on the sound stages of Universal. This is the wardrobe Beatty wore in much of the film, and which Milburn ("Doc" from GUNSMOKE) Stone wore when CAPTIVE WILD WOMAN (1943) had him working the cats since Beatty had been delayed for the opening. Beatty's BIG CAGE footage was used, with Stone seen in close-ups. So 10 years later, Universal was still getting mileage from Beatty's work.
