A wonderful graphic image
Lew Henderson, Dad, was making some 8/10 glossies, and this turned up so we used it. I'm holding Peggy, she'd go into a pushup handstand on my knees from here. Peggy seated pic left, me on right. I loved that wardrobe. White satin, white feathers, maroon sequins embroidered on one by one. Wore a lot of satin, chiffon and velveteen with sequins, spangles, bangles, beads, feathers and fringe in those days. Made our own. Most performers did. Wasn't always easy to get during WWII. Once we went to Minneapolis and visited Dolly Jacobs' Mother (sorry I don't remember her name). She worked for Munsingware at that time, and could buy remnants. Got some for us. Don't remember if it was for wardrobe or clothes. We made everything! Just felt like throwing that in.
Thanks for contributing Billie and Chick. I always enjoy the additional insights the comments provide.
