Gus Augsberg, I think. Never saw this in the act but it looks like him. Kohlreiser and I loved to talk about the baboon and monkey routine eating at a table. It was a classic.

If I am not mistaken Jenga Smaha bought the act which was presented by his wife, Rena.
Circopedia has a nice bio on Jenga who was quite a trainer. I believe it said he trained four Tanyas. Before Vegas and tv i remember them at Baraboo.
The elephant at Baraboo was Bertha.
He told me when he left the Nugget Casino in Sparks, they said if he named his young elephant Bertha, or anything that sounded like Bertha, they would sue. But you are correct, after he moved to Vegas all four of his elephants were named Tanya.
