This is one of the illustrations from a 1930s magazine article describing how Frank Buck filmed the famous tiger-python fight in BRING ‘EM BACK ALIVE. (Even back then, it was considered to have been staged since it was filmed from several different angles.)

The cameraman on the right up in the trees is shooting with an Akeley 35mm pancake camera.
It was invented by a wild life hunter and was a great news reel camera as had a 200 foot quick change film magazine.
Also many telephoto lenses and a smooth tripod head that came with it and could follow action smoothly.

Martin Johnson, husband of Osa? For those that do not know there were Frank Buck "Bring 'Em Back Alive" trading cards too. I still have a few and I believe this is one of them.
