This cannon was built in

South Africa & went directly

to a Dick Chipperfield date

near Aberdeen in Hong Kong

It was originally on a semi

trailer before being mounted

on a Ford straight job and

then onto this Cornbinder

That bright dot inside the

control compartment is the

monitor for a closed circuit

TV system I installed that

shows interior views of the

barrel from the nose & also

the rear interior including

trigger assembly & a set of

temp & humidity gauges as

well as a 2nd inclinometer

I installed a similar set

in Elvin's baby aluminum

cannon for Circus Circus

For many years I handmade

the tootsie roll plastic

pipe bombs for cannons on

Ringling as well as many

others including this 1

During my early years I

was able to get both the

Federal & the NYC Pyro

licenses with the help

of the Stagehands Union
