In his late retirement years
Giustino (Gus) Loyal helped
to train kids at Sailor Circus
I believe he died in 1999
There were so many inter
family marriages among
French & Italian circus
families that a scorecard
would be a very thick book
Loyals & Repenskys included
Tho he is not pictured here, Joe Galasso eventually rode with this act.
Joe Galasso and his wife are pictured in Chappie's Performing Horses with the Repenski Troup. My Dad took the pic in Allentown in the 1940's. That book is a classic.
Bob Good
Joe married into the family
On one side or the other
We met Joe when he came on
Beatty with his 1 finger
Joe & his son Tripoli were
excellent show painters
Tripoli became the charge
artist for Theo Zacchini's
machine shop in Sarasota
when they were building
Side Show trailer trucks
painting great pictorials
Both very nice folks
Theo's old tremendous shop
is now a boat storage yard
I think this photo may have been taken on Cole in 1945 as Gus is on the left, but Alfonso and some of the other sisters are not in it either? I did not know Gus and Alfonso both passed away in 1999. Alfonso was 86.
