Johnny the Bellhop invited his audience to "Call for Phillip Mor-ree-iss" for over 40 years. He was John Roventini, a little person who stood 47" tall, and by his own estimate, repeated his famed call in his perfect B-flat over a million times. Johnny was a powerful influence in the early success of I LOVE LUCY, even helping Lucy and Desi overcome the network's ethnic hesitations over a Cuban married to an American, and finally get on the air. Johnny died of natural causes, in 1998, at age 88.

RBB programs featured Ernestine Clarke, Antoinette Concello, and Terrell Jacobs in full-page cigarette ads. We still have Ernestine's ad for Camels.
