#11 Showmen

Jess Adkins had died before we came on the Cole Show in 1947.

I gave my last dozen

to Bello Nock who will

be doing a summer show

at the original Asolo

which is a part of the

Ringling Museum complex

titled "IncrediBello"

Jess Adkins, "The man with the turned-up toes",so nicknamed as he favored shoes that tilted up. He was born February 22, 1886, in Van Buren, Indiana. His history of show management and ownership is well known. Mr. Adkins died of a sudden heart attack in Gardner, Massachusetts, on June 25, 1940. He was 54.
