The school was honoring the late Bob Christians, a graduate of the FSU Flying High Circus who went on to a career as a flyer with RBBB. Bob is credited as the person who first convinced Club Med to install flying rigs at their resorts, a move that led to flying trapeze schools springing up around the world.
