Hero #5

My mother was a teenager and told me many times of this day, she said the train was spotted right beside the lot and she watched as he created havoc. She said he then went along  side the train pushing pushing wagons off the flat cars then passing the coach he peered in the window and they briefly locked eyes before he continued on followed by a posse of armed town folk.

Your mother's memories of Hero going on a rampage must have been quite the story to hear. Hero might have done a good job of rocking that railroad car that your mother was standing in had he decided to do it.

...am I missing something? I'm not familiar with this legend...at all. Perhaps you could elaborate??? He pushed the wagons off the train? With whom did he lock eyes??? ...More, I need MORE!!!

Has to do with the the elephant "Hero" going into his bulling period, trying to dismantle the show, his pursuit and eventual demise by an overdose of buckshot.
