I don't remember ever seeing a Barber Shop on a circus.
My father's eyesight was so bad he never used a mirror, simply felt his face with one hand and scraped away with the other.
My friend Duane spotted this while visiting me on Kelly-Miller and was astonished, I always took it for granted.

If I can safely handle Mabel Stark's crumbling photo albums, I'll try to scan the shots she included of circus barber shops, including one captioned for the black guys on the crew.
My father Iza LaBird and his brother Charlie were in clown alley at the Kelly Miller show in 1950. As a side job he did barber work with the shows he trouped with. I have no way of verifying if this is him in the photo.
